We publish companies, not people
This site publishes facts about companies and products. It never publishes information about people.
What we publish
- Products as listed by public sources: names, vintages, origins, prices, availability, label approvals.
- Companies: business names, registry numbers, legal form, industry code, founding year, employee band and city.
What we never publish
- Names of natural persons in any role: owners, officers, board members, contacts or signatories.
- Email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, postcodes or personal identity numbers.
- Exact employee counts for small firms (we use bands such as 1–4 or 5–9).
- Sole traders. UK customs and US permit records are published only for registered businesses.
This is enforced in code: the public database has a fixed list of allowed columns, and an automated scan blocks any publish that contains an email, phone number, postcode or person-role pattern.
Your visit and web analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool, to understand how the site is used in aggregate: pages viewed, referrers, country-level location and page-load performance. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage and does not fingerprint visitors, so there is nothing to accept. We don’t sell data, and we don’t build profiles of individual visitors.
Our hosting provider also processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.
Corrections and removal
If something on a page is wrong, or you represent a company and want a record reviewed or removed, send us:
- the address of the page,
- what is wrong, and
- a link to the source that shows the correct fact, if you have one.
Corrections and takedown: info@winetradeatlas.com. Corrections take effect in the next daily data build. Because our data comes from public sources, an error at the source may come back until the source is fixed; we will add an override when that happens.
